Colt License Agreement
======================

Reproduced verbatim from the Colt 1.2.0 licence page, which is the governing text:
https://dst.lbl.gov/ACSSoftware/colt/license.html  (Colt 1.2.0, last published 2004-09-09)

No licence text ships inside colt-1.2.0.jar itself, and the POM carries no <licenses>
block, so this copy is kept here deliberately rather than relied upon from the web.

Notes for anyone auditing this
------------------------------

* The hep.aida.* grant references "the LGPL License" without naming a version. A copy
  of LGPL-2.1 is included alongside this file as the version we take it to mean; Colt
  itself does not specify one.

* The hep.aida.* grant adds a restriction on top of the LGPL: usage related to military
  applications is expressly forbidden. That is a field-of-use limitation, not a standard
  LGPL term, and it is the reason this file spells the grant out rather than reducing it
  to a licence identifier.

* hep.aida.* is present in colt-1.2.0.jar (38 classes) and is therefore redistributed,
  even though agena.ai code never calls it. It is not separable: the five colt types the
  codebase does use pull in 354 of the jar's 593 classes, 35 of them under hep/aida,
  because cern.colt.matrix structurally references the AIDA binning and histogram types.
  See src/license/THIRD-PARTY.properties for the analysis.
